Unrestricted General Endowment provides a permanent source of income to offset operational expenses and support current needs as determined by the administration and the Board of Trustees. The income from Unrestricted General Endowment enriches the educational programs in numerous ways as well as augments the school’s financial stability.

The William and Judith Audette Honorary Scholarship Fund
The William and Judith Audette Honorary Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 by Matthew J. Audette ’92 and Allan C. Lindsey III '88 to support need-based financial assistance in appreciation for the loving sacrifices that their parents made to afford their sons the benefits of an independent school education.

The Class 2010 Endowment Fund for Financial Assistance
The Class 2010 Endowment Fund for Financial Assistance was established in 2010 by the senior class to honor Arlene Ingram’s work in guidance and college counseling. Arlene’s contributions have made a tremendous difference in the lives of hundreds of alumni and their families.

The Preston S. Creech Memorial Endowment Fund
The Preston S. Creech Memorial Endowment Fund was established by numerous donors in loving memory of Preston. Initial contributions funded the redesign and purchase of equipment for the Preston S. Creech Fitness Center. The income from subsequent donations supports the needs of the Center as well as athletic needs.

The Edward E. Ford Foundation Nexus Scholarship Endowment Fund was established by the Batten Educational Achievement Fund of the Norfolk Foundation to support need-based financial assistance for the Nexus Panama project.

The Gianascoli Nexus Scholarship Fund was established by Michael R. Gianascoli ’89 to help ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in a Nexus Global Studies experience. The fund supports travel scholarships awarded to students with financial need who exemplify academic achievement and leadership qualities.

The Betty Ann and Ben Huger Family Foundation Scholarship Fund was established by the Huger family to recognize annually a ninth grade student in good academic standing with extra-curricular involvement.

The Catherine Siscoe Lewis Cape Henry Family Citizen of the Year Award
The Catherine Siscoe Lewis Cape Henry Family Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual’s extraordinary achievements for the benefit of Cape Henry Collegiate. The annual award is given to a selected trustee, student, employee, alumnus, or friend of the school and is presented each year during the graduation ceremony.

The John P. Lewis Endowment Fund for Faculty Development
The John P. Lewis Endowment Fund for Faculty Development was established by the Board of Trustees in 2015, and supported by members of the school community, in appreciation and honor of Jack’s thirteen years of service as Head of School. This fund supports faculty leadership and professional development opportunities, global studies, and curricular innovation.

The Logan/Fellenbaum Choral Endowment Fund was established in 2015 by a group of Cape Henry parents in honor of the extraordinary contributions of Sammie Logan and Valetta Fellenbaum to Cape Henry’s music program and to provide a source of perpetual funding for vocal music education.

The Alice B. Meredith Teacher Enrichment Fund
The Alice B. Meredith Teacher Enrichment Fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. William F. Rountree, Jr. as a tribute to Lower School faculty member Alice Meredith’s many years of exemplary service and dedication to Cape Henry Collegiate. Funds will be used to attract faculty to our school, as well as provide professional enrichment opportunities for existing faculty members.

The Peregoff Family Endowment Fund for Faculty Development was established by the Peregoff Family in loving memory of Arthur Peregoff. The fund supports teacher professional development, recognizing the importance of a strong faculty in the delivery of a quality education.

The Performing Arts Endowment Fund
The Performing Arts Endowment Fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry F. McDonnell. This fund supports drama and music programs such as the Cape Henry Players after-school drama program, the Professional Workshop Series, visiting artists, and a variety of instructional clinics. It also provides opportunities for students to be coached and mentored by visiting professionals.

The Perry Endowment Funds were established by the Patricia and Douglas Perry Foundation:- Endowed Chair Fund is a restricted endowment that recognizes and funds strong academic leadership in the form of academic chairs.
- Financial Aid Fund is an endowment restricted to the support of student need-based financial assistance.
- Head of School Discretionary Fund is an unrestricted discretionary endowment fund to support unanticipated needs within the Cape Henry Collegiate community.

The Patricia R. and Daniel P. Richardson Endowment Fund for Student Financial Aid
The Patricia R. and Daniel P. Richardson Endowment Fund for Student Financial Aid honors Pat and Dan Richardson and their commitment to educational diversity. It enables the School to reduce the amount of financial obligation of the operating budget while strengthening an endowment program designed to promote ethnic and economic diversity. It allows the School to continue to offer less privileged or economically disadvantaged students the opportunity for academic and social enrichment.
