Flag football offers the core skills of passing, catching, and defensive positioning. If you love to write stories or poetry, join our weekly group for creative writing activities and challenges. Middle School writers will explore various prompts - fiction, description, opinion, and photo - and experiment with different styles of writing. During our last session, participants will be encouraged to display their best creative writing on the Middle School hallway bulletin board. Additionally, students will select pieces to share with the Cape Henry Community through a digital link in the Dolphin Digest. Composition books and folders will be provided - bring your favorite pens or pencils to unleash your creative side.

Abracadabra, Alakazam, hocus pocus! Sit back and enjoy the magical transformation as campers become magicians right before your very eyes! Campers learn amazing magic tricks they can perform for family and friends. Award-winning professional magician Mr. Rob Westcott teaches young magicians various skills and helps them to build self-confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Each child receives a magic case to decorate and fill with a magic wand and tricks they learn throughout the week. On the last day of camp, join us for a magic show where the children perform the magic they have learned! Students who have taken Magic Camp before are also welcomed back. This program is focused on exploring the many facets of leading a fulfilling, healthy, and productive lifestyle. At this exciting, intense, and difficult stage of life, we will learn and discuss serious social, emotional, physical and societal concerns. Topics include illegal substances, growth, and development, physical activity, nutrition, preventing violence and abuse, and mental and emotional development. Students will also complete the American Heart Association’s curriculum for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Classroom Health sessions run from 8:00 a.m. - noon on Monday through Friday of each week, and office hours are available from noon - 1:00 p.m. for extra help.
