  • Summer at the Cape: May 15, 2020 Update

We have missed having our students on campus and are excited to offer a reduced summer camp program beginning July 6. Our reopening of campus will be gradual, with enhanced safety protocols, and we look forward to resuming life at Cape Henry Collegiate.

Summer camps will have limited enrollment on a first come, first served basis, and payment must be completed at the time of registration in order to secure your child’s place.  Your child’s registration is not completed unless payment is received. Please have a credit card ready at time of registration to avoid losing your child’s space. We are unable to accept check or cash payments at this time or take registration by phone or email.

While we plan to begin our on-campus offerings on July 6, please understand that this is still dependent on the phased re-opening in Virginia. If for any reason, Cape Henry must cancel one or more of these programs, we will provide a 100% refund.

We are unable to offer our full summer schedule, and we recognize we may not be able to meet everyone’s summer camp needs. Our hope is to increase offerings over the summer if the phased reopening plan allows for it. We will notify our families of any additional offerings and update our website weekly.
All past summer 2020 enrollments and registrations are being removed and refunds are being processed (with the exception of Upper School Health and Driver’s Education). We appreciate your patience during this process.

Please read carefully before choosing to register for our summer camp program:

    Day Camp:
    • All Day-Camp registrations must commit to the five-week offering
    • Payment must be completed upon registration to reserve your spot.
    • The first twelve (12) paid registrations will have space reserved.
    • Refunds are not permitted upon withdrawal from programs unless the program was canceled by Cape Henry Collegiate. Medical withdrawal requests must be submitted to tylerfaubert@capehenry.org
    • Day Camp hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There is no before/after care option.

    Specialty Camp (description available here):
    • Specialty Camp registration will be single week commitments.
    • Payment must be complete upon registration to reserve your spot.
    • Specialty camp registration is currently limited to 15 campers per week.
    • Refunds are not permitted upon withdrawal from programs unless the program was canceled by Cape Henry Collegiate. Medical withdrawal requests must be submitted to tylerfaubert@capehenry.org
    • Specialty Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. - noon (with slightly staggered drop-off/pick-up times, details to follow).

Please check your camper’s grade level on Campwise before Monday, May 18. Registration will open on Monday, May 18th at 9:00 a.m. for families enrolled in the 2021- 2021 school year and will remain open until camps meet their registration limit. After one week, camp registration will remain open until spaces are filled.

  • Summer at the Cape Update: May 6, 2020

Summer At The Cape 2020 Update

This summer, Cape Henry will run a combination of on-campus and remote offerings. Remote offerings will include academic classes like Health and specialty camps such as coding. An updated list of remote summer opportunities will be posted on Friday, May 15th.

Beginning on July 6th and ending on August 7th, depending on the phased re-opening in Virginia, Cape Henry plans to run a reduced day camp and morning specialty camp program on campus. These camps will have limited enrollment and will have modified protocols and guidelines to enhance health and safety.

An updated list of on-campus day and specialty camps will be posted on Friday, May 15th.

Registration for remote camps/classes and the on-campus day and specialty camp program will begin on Monday, May 18th.

At this time, enrolled Cape Henry students will receive priority in all registrations. After an initial one week registration period takes place, if additional spaces remain, then we will open up to other families.

If for any reason, Cape Henry must cancel one or more of these programs, we will provide a 100% refund.

Please check our updated 2020 Summer at the Cape schedule on Friday, May 15!
