Drawing Dynamics | June 21 - 25 | AM
This is it! If you want to draw better, you must first learn how to see and think like an artist. We will go big and bold while exploring the foundation of the rest of the visual arts. Learn all the techniques needed to draw anything you want. Plus, use a wide variety of drawing media in new and exciting ways! If you are ready to take your drawing skills to greater heights, this is the class for you!
Airbrush | June 21 - 25 | PM
Come explore your artistic side with the power of an airbrush at your fingertips! Working with an airbrush is a wonderfully exciting and creative experience. You will learn how to paint popular airbrush subjects like sunsets, seascapes, pillow hearts, space scenes, animal and people portraits, names and letterforms, flowers, and many other creative exercises designed to pull out the artist in you.
Ceramics | July 12 - 16 | AM
Artists will envelop themselves in the world of clay while learning the techniques and tools commonly used in ceramics. Students will create imaginative works using a variety of methods, including hand building, modeling, hollowing, extrusion and slab building, wheel throwing, press molding, slip casting, and glazing. (Limited to 10 registrations)
Oil Painting | July 12 - 16 | PM
Oil paint is a beautiful and versatile medium. A painting foundation will be presented that can easily be built upon for pursuits beyond this class. Students will create a series of paintings with the instructor that will cover a variety of subjects and painting techniques. Drawing will be taught as it applies to the subjects illustrated. Students will work from life when we take a trip outdoors to paint, and they will learn ways to look within themselves for inspiration in more intuitive painting exercises. *A list of supplies for the camp will be sent out prior to the camp’s start date.
Art Explosion | July 26 - 30 | AM
Do you have an interest in the visual arts and look forward to trying new things? This Art Explosion class offers the opportunity to try techniques and media not typically offered in your regular art classes. This program will have you painting with light, using professional-style airbrush techniques, throwing on the potter’s wheel, and much more!
Digital Photography | July 26 - 30 | PM
Students will learn the fundamentals of digital photography and computer-aided manipulation. This class will cover various modes of shooting found on most digital SLR cameras: exposure control, composition, motion and portrait photography, downloading, printing, Photoshop manipulation, and photo presentation. Students should provide their own digital SLR camera with a charged battery.
