Ms. Weisbrod holds two post-graduate degrees from the Peabody Conservatory and has been teaching violin for nearly twenty years. She teaches a hybrid of Suzuki method and technique learned directly from students of the infamous Stolyarsky Music School in Odessa. Her group classes focus on these methods while cultivating social approaches to music and progress, including exercises on active listening and articulation. Beginning violin classes will cover posture and fundamental techniques, and, if continued, will lead to reading music, hearing melody and harmony lines, as well as learning constructive analysis with their peers about the work they are doing. Group and/or private lessons will continue for those interested. * Instruments will not be provided in this program. Please contact Ms. Weisbrod for a recommendation or visit sharmusic.com for violin rentals.
