  • Coding Fun

    Join Ms. Buchardt for afternoons full of coding fun! Learn computer programing skills which will focus on the foundations of coding and computer commands.  This program is designed to develop and foster creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging environment. The students will learn basic coding to build their own characters, video games, and more!

  • Holiday Sports Blast

    The weather is getting cold as the holidays approach, but it is still time to stay active. Get ready for football playoffs with exciting flag football action. Warm-up your arm for those upcoming snowball fights with a few rounds of dodgeball. Zero in on an all-time favorite as you hit the diamond for some kickball. Frost and snow might be around the corner, but the action is heating up outside. Don’t miss out on a great chance to play some of the games you love as you prep for winter break. Sign up now!

  • Let's Write! - Creative Writing for Middle School Students

    If you love to write stories or poetry, join our bi-weekly group and enjoy creative writing activities and challenges. Middle School writers will explore various prompts–fiction, description, opinion, and photo–and experiment with different styles of writing. During our last session, participants will be encouraged to display their best creative writing on the Middle School hallway bulletin board. Additionally, students will select pieces to share with the Cape Henry Community through a digital link in the Dolphin Digest. Composition books and folders will be provided–bring your favorite pens or pencils to unleash your creative side.

  • Motor Mania

    Come join us for a session of discovery as we build our fine and gross motor skills by exploring the world around us!  We will work to strengthen the muscles in our hands and work on coordination of movements through fun hands-on opportunities.   Whether we are balancing, hopping across river rocks, climbing through a tunnel, sifting through sand, pouring with water, cutting, or rolling out clay we will be having loads of fun!  Your child’s mastery of fine and gross motor skills will allow him/her greater independence and open new doors to exploration, learning, and creative expression.
