Would you like to become a certified babysitter? An instructor from CPR Anywhere! will instruct boys and girls ages 9 to 14 in the skills of being a confident sitter. This three-day camp will instruct campers in childcare skills, including feeding and bathing a baby, changing a diaper, infant and child CPR, basic first aid, talking to potential clients, and much more. At the end, you will be awarded a certificate and card that you can show to prove you are a certified babysitter! Maximum of 15 campers at each session–so sign up early!
This program is a service provided for parents who require extended care for children, rising Prekindergarten through Grade 5, before and after regular Summer Programs hours. The exceptional staff plans outdoor play, craft projects, and much more each day. Before and After Care is available for the duration of our Summer at the Cape schedule, beginning on Monday, June 5th and ending on Friday, August 11th. An afternoon snack is provided for the campers. All children must be toilet trained.

The Cape Henry Girls Lacrosse program looks forward to hosting a fun-filled week of camp that will suit the development of beginners through elite level players. CHC lacrosse staff and players will instruct on the basic fundamentals of the game to meet each athlete at her ability level. Basic fundamentals will be put to use in small-sided competitions, full field games, and other skill building activities. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to hone your lacrosse skills on CHC’s state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-size turf field, air-conditioned indoor play, auditorium film sessions, and more. Campers will leave excited about the sport of lacrosse, thanks to a week of engaging play.
The Cape Henry Collegiate Tennis program is excited to offer the Dolphin Tennis Academy with PTR-certified Head Coach Diane Deaton. During the tennis sessions, beginner and novice campers will learn the proper way to hold and swing a racquet, as well as basic ball drills and games. Advanced tennis players will work on strategy, court positioning, and shot selection, and they will be matched up with camp staff who are current or former high school or college players. Campers will enjoy individual and small-group lessons as they build upon initial success and develop a lifelong love of tennis! Campers will participate daily in light ball drills and supervised match play, and all levels of play are invited.

This course is designed to provide students with a detailed understanding of the fundamentals of driving and to foster responsible attitudes and driving behaviors. Course content follows the Virginia State Board of Education, which includes linking visual skills, space management, and balanced vehicle movements to risk-reducing driving strategies. Significant attention is given to risk awareness, driver alertness, and responsible actions relative to occupant protection devices, positive interactions with other roadway users, and the physical and psychological conditions that affect driver performance. Students will use knowledge, processes, and skills learned in driver education to help them become competent users of the highway transportation system. Successful completion of this course provides the student with a Certificate of Completion in Classroom Driver Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Lights, camera, action! Do you want to express your creativity and become a trendsetter in the world of fashion? If so, whether you are a total beginner or have experience, this is the camp for you! Campers use their imagination to brainstorm ideas and bring fashion to life. We will learn how to walk the runway, and we will discuss exciting topics about the latest fashion trends and icons. Campers will design their own T-shirt, purse, and so much more! Families are invited to a fashion show on the last day of camp to see the final products.
Little Dolphins Day Camp: For Children 3 and 4 Years Old (Prekindergarten)
Sandfiddlers Day Camp: For Children 5 and 6 Years Old (Rising Kindergarten and 1st Grade)
The Little Dolphins and Sandfiddlers Camps are flexible in that a parent can choose either a half-day or a full-day program. The Little Dolphins and Sandfiddlers Camps focus on a different and exciting theme each week, and many of the daily activities will reflect the week’s theme. Campers will participate in a variety of activities in the morning, including swimming two times per week, visual arts, science, reading, mathematics, and creative play. Little Dolphins and Sandfiddlers swim lessons take place at the Seatack Recreation Center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Parents may elect for children not to participate in the swim instruction program. In the afternoons, campers will take a nap and enjoy playground time and free play. Campers must bring a bathing suit, pool shoes, and a towel clearly marked with the child’s name. All students will also need to bring a change of clothes for their return from the pool. A snack will be provided in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
Children enrolled in morning or afternoon specialty programs may join the Little Dolphins and Sandfiddlers Camps. Please note that if joining the Little Dolphins Camp only for the afternoon session, there will be a nap during that time. All children must be toilet trained.

The classic volcano experiment has always been a favorite! Children love to explode things and see them erupt and we will put this classic experiment to the test. This year each camper will build an individual volcano that they will be able to erupt over and over again! We will build a large group volcano that we will erupt twice this year using a heated reaction and the classic Mento/Coke reaction! Students will practice skills of engineering through designing, prototyping, testing, and redesigning rockets to meet daily challenges as well as a culminating weeklong challenge. The longest running and most enjoyable coed soccer camp in Virginia Beach returns for its 28th year of camp instruction. We take great pride in offering the best soccer camp experience in Hampton Roads. Our facilities include four plush green soccer fields, six air-conditioned courts for indoor soccer, an air-conditioned auditorium with large-screen projection for rest and film sessions, and a spacious cafeteria serving hot lunch daily. Our camp staff is comprised of highly trained professional, college, and high school players and coaches who are positive role models and understand our camp philosophy of learning the game of soccer in a clean, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere. Our staff prides itself on creating positive and long-lasting relationships with campers and parents. From the beginning player to the advanced player, the curriculum is designed to teach skills and strategies used at the individual and team levels. Each day begins with fundamental instruction and follows a planned sequence of activities that builds confidence and enthusiasm for the game of soccer. We offer an action-packed week where players leave feeling great about their camp experience. Full-day campers receive lunch and drinks daily, while half-day campers receive a snack and drink daily. This program is focused on exploring the many facets of leading a fulfilling, healthy, and productive lifestyle. At this exciting, intense, and difficult stage of life, we will learn and discuss serious social, emotional, physical and societal concerns. Topics include: illegal substances, growth and development, physical activity, nutrition, preventing violence and abuse, and mental and emotional development. Students will also complete the American Heart Association’s curriculum for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Classroom Health sessions run from 8:00 a.m. - noon on Monday through Friday of each week, and office hours are available from noon - 1:00 p.m. for extra help.
