  • Ceramics

    Young artists will envelop themselves in the world of clay while learning the techniques and tools commonly used in ceramics. Students will create imaginative works using a variety of methods including hand building, modeling, hollowing, extrusion, and slab building, wheel throwing, press molding, slip casting, and glazing.

  • Lower School Chess

    Join one of CHC’s most popular afterschool programs as Mr. V offers another round of “the game of Kings.” Around for centuries, chess teaches critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as mathematical and logical reasoning. Beginners and experts alike will learn how each piece moves along with game strategies, tactics, castling, en passant, promotions, and much more. Get ready to take on your classmate in a friendly game of chess while getting ready for the highly anticipated class tournament.

  • Pinterest Creations

    Boys and girls, do you want to make all the projects you have ever dreamed up? Do you love to design your own shirts or make picture frames out of reclaimed materials? What about creating your own catapult out of popsicle sticks? The sky's the limit in this camp full of crafty creations. Using Pinterest as our inspiration, we will spend the Winter creating, cutting, and gluing, as well as bringing our creative imaginations to life.     Are you excited to learn and build? During this class, we will complete different LEGO robotics builds that help us learn about the world around us, robots, and space! Bring robots to life that specialize in forces and motion like driving, cranking, walking, spinning, wobbling, flexing and more! We use iPads and the LEGO WeDo 2.0 program to create an immersive hands-on experience for students! This class is interactive so get ready to bring science to life with LEGO robotics!

  • Winter Sports Blast

    Back by popular demand, Mr. V offers one of the most popular afterschool programs this winter season. Get ready for football playoffs with exciting flag football action. Warm up your arm for those upcoming snowball fights with a few rounds of dodgeball. Zero in on an all-time favorite as you hit the diamond for some kickball. Frost and snow might be around the corner, but the action is heating up outside. Don’t miss out on a great chance to play some of the games you love as you return from Winter Break. Sign up now!
