All programs begin the week of January 8. All times are 3:30-4:30 p.m. unless noted.

All participants will be picked up from the lobby of The Sims Lower School and/or the Café Dolphin.

  • Chess

    The game of Kings has been around for centuries, and there are a ton of reasons why! Students will learn and compete to increase critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as improve mathematical and logical reasoning. Participants will also learn how each piece moves, strategies, tactics, castling, en passant, promotions, and much more. Beginners will develop a love of the game while experienced players will take their game to another level. Students will benefit from individual instruction as well as enjoy competing in a class tournament.

  • Lower School Wrestling

    Join Varsity Wrestling Head Coach Jack Effner in this physical development program that introduces students to the sport of wrestling and allows experienced wrestlers to maximize their potential. Students will learn the basics of wrestling through skills training and practice sessions. Get ready, as this activity will be challenging with sport-specific games and competitions. Sessions will be fun for students with a variety of physical activities mixed with important fundamentals of wrestling. So come run, skip, jump, and roll with us!

  • Rock-It Science: Spring has Sprung

    Candy Peep clay, ice cream making, and Earth Day bird feeders are just a few labs we will conduct as we celebrate warmer days! So say goodbye to winter and hello to Spring! Put away those winter coats and sign up today!

  • Video Game Coding

    Campers will learn computer programming through engaging, hands-on projects like animating stories and creating video games. Kids begin experimenting with visual blocks, then progress to JavaScript and Python as they design games, build apps, and make incredible projects. PLUS, our technology platform is seriously cool…kids have thousands of backgrounds, props, characters and music to choose from to help bring their imaginations to life! This camp is tailored towards each student’s level of experience so whether you are a novice or programming junkie, we have challenging curriculum waiting for you!
