Middle School Admissions Process

Admissions Requirements

  • Parents new to Cape Henry Collegiate should create an online account. After creating an account, parents should log in to their new account, select their child's name, and click the "Fill Out" button located to the right of the Admissions Application.
  • The student must complete the Candidate Questionnaire to Middle and Upper School which consists of four short essays that allow us to get to know the student through his or her writing.
  • Three Student Assessment for Applicants Grades 6 – 12 forms must be completed by current teachers and should be mailed directly to Middle and Upper School Admissions by the teachers.
  • The student must register to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) at Cape Henry Collegiate. Test dates and registration are available online or you may contact the Admissions Office for more information. Students who have current year ERB testing may submit ERB results in place of registering for the ISEE.
  • A Transcript and Records Request Form should be signed by the parent and submitted to the student’s school.
  • Families should contact the Admissions Office to schedule a tour. All applicants will meet with a member of the Admissions Office to discuss the application process and opportunities for them at Cape Henry. Applicants are invited to attend classes with peers, and may be asked to take a standardized admission test of verbal and/or math aptitude and ability.
  • Any student applying for the Middle School Distinguished Scholar Merit Scholarship must take the ISEE exam by February 10, 2018.
