Sixth Grade Students Watch the Full Blood Flower Supermoon

This year, many of our Sixth graders volunteered their time to help out in the school garden with Mrs. Cake.

On Wednesday evening, 17 sixth grade students and their families met on 79th to watch the Full Blood Flower Supermoon rise over the Atlantic. While clouds may have obscured the initial rise, she shone brightly after getting a little farther up. Students had a fantastic time mixing Science and friend/beach time.

(If you happened to see the eclipse, you were seeing all the sunsets and sunrises on Earth reflecting off the Moon at the same time.)
