- Athlete of the Week
- Upper School
Varsity Boys Track & Field Athlete, Ty Adamson, is this week’s Athlete of the Week! Ty’s standout performance at the Eastern Shore Invitational earns him this honor, winning both the 100m & 200m. His results set a new PR in the 200, while also qualifying him for the TCIS meet in his second event. Ty continued as he led the 4x100 team to a strong finish, even after they fumbled the baton, to which he ran an incredibly fast anchor in order to make up for lost time after the dropped baton. Coach Dashiell Quasebarth notes, “Ty has been an incredible leader on our team despite his youth and the immense leadership our seniors already bring. We can trust Ty to set the expectation that we bring our best to practice and competition every opportunity we have. Ty's hard work paid off big time this season with incredible improvement capped off by a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash at the TCIS Championship.” Coach Kacie Voeller adds, “Ty is not only a talented runner but he is dedicated to doing what he needs to each day to improve. He shows determination and leads by example at every practice and meet, and has a bright future in the track program." Congratulations, Ty Adamson, on being selected as CHC’s Athlete of the Week, an honor well deserved!
