- Athlete of the Week
Joining the Cape Henry Collegiate community in 2018, the Dolphins would have to wait one year to witness the supremacy our Athlete of the Week exhibits on the soccer pitch.
Rehabilitating a season-ending injury throughout her freshman year, Bella Cooke has continuously produced awe-inspiring performances since stepping foot on the Dolphin pitch in 2019, highlighted by a Senior Day performance on Tuesday, May 3, leading the Dolphins to a 3rd-Place regular season finish.
With post-season play underway, Cape Henry Collegiate will look to Cooke to lead the Dolphins for five more contests.
“It was a big week for our senior captain," Head Coach Tina Lowry said. "She began the week with a two-goal performance on Senior Day against Norfolk Collegiate. Her performance over the Oaks was a sight and helped us solidify a 3rd-place ranking in TCIS. Following her performance over the Oaks, Bella captured one goal against Richmond Collegiate on the VISAA Stage.”
Leaving the Cape Henry Collegiate pitch the way she joined, Cooke has a knack for finding the back of the net.
More impressively, however, Cooke consistently leads the Cape Henry Varsity Girls Soccer program in assists, a testament to her overall dominance on a soccer field.
Witnessing Cooke’s talent for the past three years has been a treat for the Dolphin community as Cape Henry advances to the TCIS Championship game tonight.
