Each year, Cape Henry Collegiate welcomes students from all over the world to its campus. Students from China, Germany, Korea, Italy, Sweden, Russia, England, the Netherlands, and other countries have spent their entire high school years at Cape Henry Collegiate. These students have stayed with family members already living in Hampton Roads, with host families, and sometimes with a parent who has moved to the area for the duration of the student’s education.
International students add greatly to the School community and become an integral member of their grade and the whole school. All international students follow the Cape Henry Collegiate curriculum, with adjustments made as appropriate to the individual. Each student works closely with their advisor, the Head of Upper School, the Director of Student Life, the Guidance Department, and the Admissions Office to help them in their academic and social adjustment to life in and out of school. Cape Henry Collegiate currently requires students to enroll in our Advanced English Enrichment Program for their first year, and upon arrival to the School, each student will be assessed in English to ensure the appropriate placement and support.
