At Cape Henry students are recognized for their abilities and talents. To honor our students, Cape Henry Collegiate has several academic merit scholarship programs. Cape Henry Collegiate Academic Merit Scholarships are awarded annually to highly motivated students who embody the values and ideals of Cape Henry Collegiate.
Cape Henry Collegiate does not offer athletic merit scholarships.
All applicants applying for the Laila Serpe Distinguished Scholar and Middle School Distinguished Scholar merit scholarships must submit the scholarship application and all application materials including testing by February 17 2021. Finalists will be contacted by February 23, 2021 to interview on campus. Award winners for Laila Serpe will be contacted by March 5, 2021 and award winners for Middle School will be contacted by March 22, 2021 Award winners of partial academic merit scholarships will still be eligible to receive need-based financial aid, in addition to the scholarship, should they qualify.
Students applying to the Upper School for grades 9, 10, and 11 (after the Laila Serpe Distinguished Scholar deadline) are reviewed on an individual basis to determine eligibility for partial academic merit scholarships, if funds are available. Eligibility is determined by: exceptional testing on ISEE, PSAT, SAT, and/or ACT; GPA of 3.9 or higher, course load, and teacher recommendations.
